Art Technology Exhibition

Each year we celebrate student achievement with an Art Show that displays the wide range of student artwork created throughout the year. The exhibition also showcases the talents of our Technology and Design students. Our official Opening Night also provides an opportunity for the Performing Arts and Food Technology students to be involved. The exhibition is supported by the Monash Gallery and welcomes visitors to the school over several days.  Please see details below for our most recent Art Show (2017).

2017 'ELEMENTS' - Visual Arts and Technology Festival

We would like to invite and welcome the Wheelers Hill community to join the staff and students for our annual Wheelers Hill Secondary College Arts and Technology Festival – ELEMENTS. The festival will be open for viewing from the 30th October to 3rd November. This broad and diverse showcase of student achievements involves independent student work as well as developmental class work from a range of subjects including; visual arts, photography, ceramics, textiles, digital technology, food technology, materials and product design.

I would also like to formally extend an invitation to all parents, families and friends within the community to experience the array of work on display for the opening night on the 30th October. A range of student run canapés will be available on the night, along with some light refreshments.  Students will also be congratulated for their efforts through a range of awards and presentations.

As mentioned, students also have the opportunity to enter any of their own creative work, which has been made independent of school. This work should have been completed within the last 24 months, and cannot have been previously entered into the schools art and technology show. Students can choose to enter as many times as they wish within the following categories; 2D Art, 3D Art, Photography and 3D Technology. Students who do enter will also be eligible to win a range of prizes totaling to over $300.

Apart from the opening night, students also have the opportunity to partake in a range of creative workshops throughout the festival. These workshops will run during lunchtimes, where students can participate in. Students will be provided with more specific details closer to the date. The workshops available include:
