Grease 2010GREASE is the word….At last Wheelers Hill Secondary College are in a position to produce this 50’s classic musical with a fabulous cast, retro design, extended live band & technical prowess in our upgraded theatrette.

My thanks to the Wheelers Hill Secondary College Arts staff, especially our leader Mel Murphy, Musical Directors Daniel Lynders & Luke Batty, Vocal Coach Caroline Hawke and a wonderfully supportive staff for their enthusiasm to work with our talented students.

Special thanks to past students: Choreographer Shea, Lighting Designer - Matty, Andrew – Stage Manager, Sound Engineer - Callum and Phil – Band member.

This production is very much a student focus show – their talent, the experience and the fun of “Rydell High” so we thank you for sharing it all with us as “WE GO TOGETHER”

The Music Lives On 2009

2009 production 'The Music Lives On'

The Music Lives On was initiated from an idea to showcase the style and talent of musicians and entertainers who have influenced the performance culture over the last 50 years after their deaths. With so many artists to choose from, it allowed Musical Director, Mr. Lijnders, Vocal Teacher Caroline Hawke, Choreographer Shea Thomas and Director Miss Jacinta Wilson a unique opportunity to explore the talent of our students.

The depth of talent from our students in voice, performances, dance, scenic art, music technical prowess and leadership created a wonderful production featuring the music and lives of Judy Garland, Elvis Presley, Dusty Springfield, Michael Jackson, Marilyn Monroe, Kurt Cobain, Peter Allen, The Beatles and AC/DC.
